Wonders of the Universe launches with 3 million viewers

The series is a follow-up to the highly successful Wonders of the Solar System which was also fronted by Cox. The new series launched last night on BBC Two at 9pm with an impressive 3.2 million viewers. Wonders of the Solar System launched with 2.8 million viewers last year and saw, across its five-part run, ratings top 3 million viewers.  Meanwhile over on BBC One the concluding part of South Riding was seen by 5.9 million viewers.
