Paul O'Grady Live loses 1 million viewers

Paul O'Grady LivePaul O’Grady Live lost nearly 1 million viewers on Friday evening.

The ITV chat-show returned for a second series last week with nearly 4 million viewers. However, it seems viewers either weren’t keen to return for more or the hot weather kept many away from their television sets. Joining O’Grady on Friday evening was Coronation Street actor Anthony Cotton who once hosted his own rival chat-show on ITV against O’Grady when he was still at Channel Four. Overall O’Grady had 3 million viewers at 9pm on Friday which is considerably more than Cotton’s chat-show ever managed to muster.  Elsewhere at 9pm Have I Got News For You edged closer to 5 million viewers with 4.8 million viewers followed by a QI repeat at 9.30 which had 3.7 million viewers.
