Gillan Anderson and David Suchet for Great Expectations

David SuchetThe BBC has revealed that Gillian Anderson and David Suchet are amongst the cast of its new adaptation of Great Expectations. The X Files actress and Poirot actor join the previously announced Ray Winstone, Francis Barber, Claire Rushbrook and Douglas Booth.
Gillian Anderson (The X Files, Bleak House, The Crimson Petal And The White) and David Suchet (Poirot, Maxwell) will star alongside Ray Winstone (Sexy Beast, Nil By Mouth, Vincent) and Douglas Booth (Worried About The Boy, Christopher And His Kind) in Sarah Phelps’ (Oliver Twist, EastEnders) bold new adaptation of Great Expectations made by BBC Drama production for BBC One.  Currently in production for transmission Christmas 2011, Great Expectations forms the centrepiece of the BBC’s celebration of Dickens as we go into the bicentenary of his birth, in 2012.
