Zoe Tyler on Loose Women axe: It was sudden

Departing Loose Women panellist Zoe Tyler has spoken about her axe from the ITV daytime show.

It was revealed over the weekend that Tyler and Kate Thornton were being dropped from the long-running talk-show. Their exits are part of ITV’s plans to re-fresh Loose Women following tabloid stories of declining ratings. Carol Vorderman and ex Corrie actress Sally Lindsay will become new Loose Women. Zoe Tyler, speaking to The Mirror, has spoken about being axed and how it was so “sudden”.

“It was sudden, so it’s a bit of a shock. Telly is always changing, but they didn’t see me as part of the future of the show. I have to accept it, it’s out of my hands. We were just given the reason that things had to change. With TV you understand things need to change. Me and Kate have had a great time. For a job you can’t ask for any better. I’m sad to leave them. We’ll have a big party.” – Zoe Loose WomenTyler speaking to The Mirror

There have been many ‘loose women’ over the years since the ITV show launched in 2000. Kaye Adams, Kerry Katona, Coleen Nolan and Nadia Sawalha are just some of the ex members of the panel. Current members include actresses Lisa Maxwell, Sherrie Hewson and Lynda Bellingham as well as the journalist Janet Street Porter.
