Rebekah Brooks has been released on police bail until October
Former CEO of News International Rebekah Brooks has been released on police bail until October. Brooks was arrested Sunday and questioned for around 12 hours in relation to the ongoing phone hacking inquiry and alleged corruption. A Met Police statement said : “She was arrested by appointment at a London police station on suspicion of conspiring to intercept communications, contrary to Section 1(1) Criminal Law Act 1977 and on suspicion of corruption allegations contrary to Section 1 of the Prevention of Corruption Act 1906.”
MPs are trying to find out if her arrest will mean she cannot attend the media select committee hearing tomorrow.
