David Alpay to join The Borgias
David Alpay, probably best known for his stint in The Tudors, is to join the cast of historical drama The Borgias.
Deadline reports that Alpay will join the cast of the Showtime drama in a recurring role. He’ll play Calvino, an Italian prince who is lined up as a suitor for Lucrezia (Holiday Grainger). The actor appeared in the second season of The Tudors as the gay musician Mark Smeaton who had an affair with George Boleyn (Padraic Delaney) but was arrested and executed, under false charges, for having an affair with Queen Anne Boleyn (Natalie Dormer).
The Borgias currently airs on Sky Atlantic in the UK on Saturday evenings at 9pm.
