Terra Nova ratings remain strong for Sky One
Ratings for Steven Spielberg’s new dino-drama Terra Nova remained strong for Sky One on Monday evening while Doc Martin continued to dominate the ratings for ITV1.
Terra Nova held steady in the ratings last night for its third episode as the new dinosaur drama continued on Sky One. The Fox drama, from Steven Spielberg, stars Jason O’Mara and Shelley Conn and launched last week on Sky One with a double-bill. Sky One is only a week behind the American broadcasts of the series on Fox. Last night’s episode of Terra Nova, at 8pm, had just under 1 million viewers with 980,000 tuning in – more or less what the series had last week for its premier.
Meanwhile at 9pm Doc Martin, starring Martin Clunes and Caroline Catz, continued to dominate the ratings with 8.5 million viewers and an additional 260,000 an hour-later on the time-shift channel. That gives the episode a combined audience of 8.7 million viewers making Doc Martin, along with fellow ITV drama Downton Abbey, one of the most popular dramas on-air at the moment on UK screens.
