Merlin's Ratings rise again

Katie McGrathMerlin‘s ratings rose for a second week in a row as the fantasy drama’s fourth season continues on BBC One.

The third episode, The Wicked Day, of the new season once again posted a small rise in ratings despite being up against titan The X Factor on ITV1. It’s good news for the fantasy drama with ratings rise against such tough competition – and they rise still further once consolidated figures are released which so far has pushed the two-part season opener The Darkest Hour to over 6 million viewers. The Wicked Day was seen by 5.7 million viewers according to overnight figures – up on the 5.5 million viewers who tuned in last week. The X Factor by comparison had 9.8 million viewers and Strictly Come Dancing narrowed the gap with 9 million viewers.
