X Factor: Rhythmix to change name following charity clash

X Factor girl band Rhythmix are to change their name following a threat of legal action over the use of the name.

Rhythmix is also the name of a charity located in Brighton which helps disadvantaged young people via music. They began running an online campaign for the X Factor to change the name of the girl band. The shows producers announced yesterday that the band will announce a new name soon.

The girl band are third favourite to be eliminated this weekend, with Frankie Cocozza odds on favourite to go following several ‘woeful’ performances. Frankie has been criticised for partying too much and staying out overnight. His mentor Gary Barlow defended the teenager,  insisting it is not a problem unless it affects his singing and performance.

The X Factor continues this weekend on ITV 1.
