The final ‘Early Show’ has aired today making way for a new breakfast show.

CBS hopes once again changing the name and format of their breakfast show will see ratings rise. The network regularly struggles against NBC and ABC. CBS This Morning will make its debut Monday with a new studio, presenters and direction for the show.

Charlie Rose and Gayle King will join regular morning presenter Erica Hill from the CBS Broadcast Centre in New York. At a press conference last November CBS News chairman Jeff Fager said he hopes to redefine the morning television landscape.

NBC’s Today programme continues to dominate the breakfast show ratings although ABC’s Good Morning America has been increasing over the past year.
