Joseph MorganSupernatural drama The Vampire Diaries returns to ITV2 night with The New Deal; it’s midseason premier. Klaus (Joseph Morgan) is swearing revenge on Stefan (Paul Wesley).

The last time we saw the residents of Mystic Falls original vampire Klaus (Joseph Morgan) had survived an attack on his life by Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Katherine (Nina Dobrev) and his father Mikael (Sebastian Roche) thanks to Stefan (Paul Wesley).

Then came the kind of twist The Vampire Diaries loves throwing at us; Stefan betrayed Klaus by stealing the coffins of his family.

As we return to Mystic Falls Klaus is swearing revenge on Stefan’s family and loved ones; he turns to violence to ensure Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon understand the price of Stefan’s actions.

Meanwhile Tyler’s (Michael Trevino) enjoyment of his hybrid status and skills are cut short when he has to face the consequences of his actions.
