Chris Evans 'heartbroken' by marriage inequality

The Avengers actor Chris Evans has said he is ’embarrassed’ and ‘heartbroken’ by marriage inequality.
The actor, who reprises his role of Captain America for the forthcoming film The Avengers, spoke about marriage inequality in an interview with Playboy magazine – to promote the launch of his new movie.
When Evans was asked whether he was a supporter of gay marriage the actor told Playboy Magazine‘Are you kidding me? It’s insane that civil rights are being denied people in this day and age. It’s embarrassing, and it’s heartbreaking.  It goes without saying that I’m completely in support of gay marriage. In 10 years we’ll be ashamed that this was an issue.
Evans has spoken in the past about his support for gay rights issues and has previously revealed that he has a gay brother; Scott Evans is also an actor who is perhaps best known for playing Oliver Fish on soap opera One Life to Live.
Chris Evans first played Captain America in last year’s film Captain America: The First Avenger. Evans’ other roles include films such as Not Another Teen Movie, Fantastic Four and sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
