Beyoncé documentary for BBC One

BBC-One-2013This spring BBC One’s flagship arts documentary strand Imagine presents a special edition which will offer a unique insights into the life and work of singer Beyoncé.

Imagine – Beyoncé: Life Is But A Dream will air on Thursday the 28th of March on BBC One at 10.35pm.

The BBC describe it as ‘a unique, confessional film made up largely of her own video diary footage and giving us unprecedented access to Beyoncé, and her high-voltage performances.’

“The documentary is a multi-faceted portrait of the 16-time Grammy Award-winning singer, businesswoman, songwriter, actress, entrepreneur, wife and mother that offers a rare insight into the extraordinary gifts that have made her a global phenomenon.”

Imagine is presented by former BBC One controller Alan Yentob.

“At least he’s a better presenter than he was controller darling, and he’s no Terry Wogan that’s for sure. How he still works in television is beyond me.” says telly critic Queenie.

A full run of episodes is to air later in 2013, there will also be a special David Bowie Imagine edition in early April.
