Jack Dee’s HelpDesk is to return to BBC Two in the weeks leading up to the EU Referendum on the 23rd of June.

“I’m really looking forward to bringing HelpDesk back to BBC Two, so come to me if you have questions about anything from bendy bananas to fraudulent car exhaust claims and much much more. We all know it all depends on how far the England team get in the Euro 2016 football championship anyway.” – Jack Dee

It will see the comedian-turned-agony-uncle help a live studio audience dispel their problems, and aims to shed light on their dilemmas and issues relating to this historic event in British politics. In each episode Jack will be accompanied by a panel of four special comedic guests. Nothing is written or prepared and the panel don’t know what the questions from the audience will be until the show begins.

Jack Dee’s HelpDesk first aired on BBC Two in 2015, for three specials tied in with the General Election. The series aired at 10pm with a viewing peak of 1.2 million. Guests included: Romesh Ranganathan, Claudia Winkleman, Aisling Bea, Jeremy Hardy, Katherine Ryan, Warwick Davis and Johnny Vegas.

The three half-hour editions of the series were commissioned for BBC Two by Channel Editor, Adam Barker. Adam wasn’t around for a comment so that was left to the lovely entitled ‘Acting Controller of Entertainment Commissioning’.

“Jack Dee’s Election HelpDesk proved to be a real treat for our audiences and we are delighted to have him back in the schedule once again bringing the truly important issues to the fore.” – Acting Controller of Entertainment Commissioning, Alan Tyler

Jack Dee’s Referendum HelpDesk will air on BBC Two from early June 2016.
