Misfits creator’s new show, Crazy Face, to air on E4 & Netflix

E4

Howard Overman – the talent behind the BAFTA award winning Misfits – is bringing a new comedy horror series to E4 and Netflix in Crazy Face.

The series about friendship, love and facing your demons follows the angst and exorcisms of an unlikely duo of demon hunters, played by Cara Theobold and Susan Wokoma.

“It’s great to be back on E4. And also exciting that our company Urban Myth Films is not only working with Channel 4 but also partnering with Netflix.” – Howard Overman

The six-part series has begun filming in Bristol and is being produced by Urban Myth Films for Channel 4 in association with Netflix. First-run editions will air on E4, with Netflix streaming the series globally thereafter.

Brought together through their shared interest as demon hunters, Theobold and Wokoma’s characters, Amy and Raquel, develop a friendship in the series as they tackle some seriously gnarly demons. What could possibly go wrong?

“Howard has been responsible for defining drama on E4 and with Crazy Face he’s proved himself to be on thrilling, anarchic and utterly rude form. We are delighted to welcome him back to the channel and to work with our partners at Urban Myth Films and Netflix to realise the ambition of this bold and brilliant series.” – Piers Wenger, Channel 4 Head of Drama

Crazy Face also stars Riann Steele as Amy’s best friend Suzanne; Lewis Reeves as her workmate-with-a-massive crush Jake; Arinze Kene as Raquel’s level-headed older brother Tyler and Tony Curran as the sinister Callum.

“Crazy Face is an eccentrically unique and entertaining series that will resonate with audiences across the globe. We look forward to once again partnering with Channel 4 to bring quality stories from innovative creators, like Howard Overman, to our members worldwide.” – Larry Tanz, Vice President Global Television at Netflix
