More4 to screen Danish crime thriller ‘DICTE’

Following in the tradition of The Killing and Borgen, DICTE: Crime Reporter is the riveting Danish crime thriller launching on More4 and All 4 as part of Walter Presents.

The show launches early next month – the 3rd of June to be exact. In Denmark the production has recently been recommissioned for a third series with its first season garnering impressive ratings and reviews when broadcast in its native country.

Despite harbouring painful childhood memories, Dicte Svendsen (Iben Hjejle) returns to her hometown of Aarhus with her teenage daughter Rose. Working as a crime reporter she discovers the body of a young Bosnian woman, who appears to have died in child birth. Police Investigator Wagner (Lars Brygmann) takes an immediate dislike to Dicte and tries to keep her out of the case. However, Dicte discovers that the young woman in question wasn’t the only Bosnian woman in the city with something to fear.

With over 8 million streams under its belt, Walter Presents, Channel 4’s foreign language on-demand service, continues to go from strength to strength and has just anounced a new spring line-up and release schedule.
