Inside Out gets new host for Yorkshire and Lincolnshire version
Keeley Donovan to host regional BBC current affairs programme, Inside Out in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
“I am completely thrilled to be the new presenter of Inside Out. It brings with it such variety – visiting places and people across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire and telling their stories. I can’t wait to get started.” – Keeley Donovan
Keeley Donovan a BBC Look North presenter for the Yorkshire region, will host the regional current affairs programme Inside Out, when it returns to BBC One Yorkshire & Lincolnshire in September. Keeley, who was born in Cleethorpes, started her broadcast career at just 14 years old, and has been a familiar face to viewers across the region since joining the BBC as one of the region’s main weather and news presenters in 2005.
Since then she has reported for Inside Out and presented daytime programme Break-In Britain. Last year she launched national BBC One programme, Countryfile Diaries, with TV legend John Craven. Keeley will continue to present on Look North and Countryfile Diaries alongside her new documentary commitments. She takes over on Inside Out from Paul Hudson who returns to his main job as Look North’s weather presenter full time.
Inside Out has a local version for each of the BBC English regions as well as countrywide versions for Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. Look North is a news brand used in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire as well as a separate version for the North East and Cumbria.
“We are all delighted that Keeley will be the new face of the programme. She has been part of the Inside Out family for a number of years, reporting on many diverse subjects – from investigations into abuse of prisoners through to efforts to protect the red squirrel. She is an accomplished and versatile presenter.” – Nicola Addyman, Editor of BBC Inside Out Yorkshire & Lincolnshire
